Walker Seal Electric Company, Inc. has a thoroughbred lineage, combining two legendary firms with long-established reputations for craftsmanship, honesty and results: Walker Electric Company, Inc., and Seal and Co., Inc.

Seal and Co. Inc., founded in 1923, helped Washington complete the conversion from gas light to electricity. In the 85 years since, Seal and Company has designed, engineered and successfully built hundreds of millions of dollars worth of electrical, communications, life safety and security projects.

Walker Electric Company, Inc., founded in 1964, has been recognized as one of Washington area's most experienced and respected commercial electrical contractors. Customer satisfaction is a hallmark of the Walker Electric approach; the company has generated nearly 85% of their business from repeat customers.

In 1995, Walker and Seal joined forces as Walker Seal Joint Venture. We successfully completed several multi-million dollar projects, including the Midfield Concourse at Dulles International Airport, the major renovation of Federal Office Building #6 for the Department of Education, a state-of-the-art radar tracking facility (Potomac TRACON) for the FAA and communications and life safety systems for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority's (WMATA) Metrorail system. The two companies officially merged effective January 1, 1999, forming Walker Seal Electric Company, Inc.
